HO CHI MINH CITY

We had high expectations because everyone said it was better than Hanoi but its all LIES. Hanoi has a lot more character and so much more to explore, its also a lot easier to get around. That said we did enjoy our time in Ho Chi Minh even though it was two days, we spent the first day walking around trying to find a cinema to go see twilight, which is SO over-rated. I am not a massive vampire geek, so wasn't buzzing from it.

We had an amazing lunch at Wrap and roll which was incredible. Then as it was TIPPING it down with rain we got a taxi back to the shopping mall, hung around there for a bit painted our nails, did some shopping then headed back to the hotel to have a shower.

In Hanoi we found the most AMAZING restaurant called 'Al Fresco' it was an american/Mexican twist on food which was basically a home comfort from fried rice and noodles. I just basically wanted Chicken Fajitas, instead of some chicken leg cut up made by someone who probably spat in my food while preparing. Then we headed down to fanny's got our ice cream.

On our last day, as we only had the morning before our flight, we did the CHU CHI TUNNELS. which was SO much fun. Chi our tour guide was such a legend, called me Christina the whole trip, cause apparently in some strange way i look like Christina Aguilera....really? We spent the day exploring the Tunnels where the CHU CHI tribes lived while fighting, Georgie is very claustrophobic so couldn't manage the tunnel itself which was fair enough as it was TINY. You had to crawl through, there's no light, its about a metre tall and a metre wide. I was sandwiched between a French couple who thought it was a great idea to take photo every 2 minutes in the tunnel. IT WAS HOT DARK AND I WAS SHITTING MYSELF...really? do you need a photo of every step. NO But i made it through and George was waiting for me on the other-side to take a photo of me coming out. Gotta love her. It was a really fun experience learning something new and seeing how they lived for so long underground. Then back to the hotel, to pack get some food and head to the airport.

Vietnam was coming to an end we have had an amazing 2 and half weeks, can't wait for the rest to come. We're off to Malaysia for an overnight stay before we shoot off to BALI. yay
