HANOI

So we have arrived in Hanoi, after a 30 hour bus journey from hell. We arrived very late at night got rooked around for our accommodation by some Vietnamese guy who was pushing my last nerve. It had been a long journey, we were hungry, sleepy and very on edge. Finally we got a room for the night, which we were only planning on staying in for the night but ended up staying there for our whole stay in Hanoi.

Hanoi is a hustle and bustle but my favourite city of Vietnam. It's a place you warm to, with everything you have to explore and find the best parts which you can relate too and centre yourself with. Most backpackers stay in the old quarter which is built up of small lanes which are just towering over you, can be very overwhelming when you first get there.

We loved the lake in the middle which we always related ourselves too, we love the cathedral area where the backpackers hostel was, more of an outgoing area where most people spend there nights. We didn't really go out much in Hanoi as we were only there for a couple of days and spend all our days walking around and exploring the city, it was a very chilled break from Laos.
