Is this a piece of furniture or is this a piece of art?

I am going to explore the concept behind the design of this chair, how the textile and design world combine. Is the end product a piece of sculptural art or a functioning piece of furniture - do you sit on it or look at it. Is his concept of what design means changing as the modern world builds on ways of pushing the boundaries and trying to constantly test what is design?

• Do you consider textiles and design together?
• Is textiles a design itself?
• Is this chair a simple example of modern textile design combined together? is it a piece of art or is it a design ?
• Does Marcel Wanders push the boundaries of design? does he play with the idea of sculpture in the modern world in his design concepts but also stay true to the classic roots of the products?
